Debbie Tittle

Register of Deeds Debbie Tittle has passionately and proudly served the citizens of Unicoi County since taking office in 1990.  She is a lifelong resident of Unicoi County, wife of Toney Tittle, mother of Matthew and Jeremy Tittle and grandmother to her adorable grand-daughter Adleigh!

Debbie has successfully completed training and received certification as a Public Administrator with the University of Tennessee Institute for Public Service. She was selected for participation in and completed Leadership Training through UT Center for Government Training.

Unicoi Courthouse

She received certification in archives management at the Tennessee State Library and Archives and serves as chairman of the Unicoi County Records Commission. 

Debbie has twice served as president of the East Tennessee Register’s Association and was recognized as register of the year on two occasions. She has served as President of the Tennessee Register’s Association and in 2014 was selected by the County Officials Association of Tennessee as Register of the Year. She has been selected by three governors as a Tennessee Colonel Aide de Camp among other local recognitions in her county.

Duties of the Register’s Office

The Register of Deeds office is a constitutionally mandated office whose primary responsibilities are to record properly prepared documents in reference to land title according to provisions set forth by Tennessee Code Annotated, maintaining said records, and making them available for public inspection within the boundaries of TCA.
